I’ll admit it.. I’m a slight hoarder when it comes to collecting things from my pregnancy, birth and the newborn stages of my kids lives. How could you blame me though? These are literally the best, most amazing, magical moments you will ever experience (at least for me.. in momlife) To be able to treasure and display these special memories so you can reminisce is an absolute MUST. Especially when they are going through the terrible twos or the snotty teenage fort nite years it is good to remember the JOY that was their birth and push through the stages of hell.. with a glass of wine or two 😀 Shadow boxes are super easy to make and you can literally put whatever you want in them. There’s really no wrong way to make one as long as its stuff that is special to you. I highly suggest doing one for each child! Newborn pictures, hospital bands and the coming home outfit were some of my favorite things to add in. For Jax I added a picture of me pregnant and for Aiden I added a newborn hat they gave us at the hospital that the senior club had made for all the babies being born close to halloween with an orange and black ball on top (his bday is oct 26th) just cute memories! Now looking at that hat and thinking his head fit in that is so surreal- and hes only 10 months old! Hence the importance of the shadow box memories! Helpful tip: I HIGHLY SUGGEST getting a shadow box that opens from the front. If anything falls down or you need to adjust something it is a pain to open the ones from the back. I used glue dots and push pins and a little tape to put mine together. You can do super glue Im sure that would work better at holding it but I wanted something I could take off if I needed to. If I had a girl (please god one day) 😉 I would make a glittery letter just the first letter of her name and put it in there.. I think that would be fun and girlie! The possibilities are endless and this is so worth taking the time to do! Happy crafting!! ❤ Meg
