I would do anything to make mornings easier for my kids ( and myself ) and I found just the way!! I love to get creative with food and breakfast is the best place to start. Making a fun breakfast is a super simple way to make your kids smile in the morning. This works for toddlers, middle schoolers, teenagers, heck even husbands! Lets face it everyone could use an extra smile in the morning, especially Monday morning! For me it was my oldest, Dylan, who I first started doing this for. It was his first day of 4th grade and I wanted to make it special. So I cut up my lame pancakes and fruit and started shaping them to make it say 4th, for 4th grade. He had the biggest smile on his face when he came to the table and was surprised with it sitting there. It was a total mom win and I was dying of pure joy inside! Who knew I could make him that happy over a few strategically placed blueberries! How simple! So from there on out I vowed to try and make his mornings special and so the trend began! I’ve done first day of school (4th pictured), Christmas (Santa), birthdays ( the age they are turning ), graduation day ( proud – I had these made from our local donut shop for $5 for Dylan’s 8th grade graduation). I’ve even just thrown smiley faces in on random days to make him smile and keep my mom “fun status” up! Here are a few ideas (apple cider donuts make for AWESOME eyes by the way) Hope you all have a few more HAPPY mornings in the week. Much love! ❤ Meg
